Enneagram 2

What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is a system of personality types that describes nine distinct personality types and the relationships and interconnections between them. Each type is characterized by specific habits of attention.

The awareness of one’s type can lead to a great deal of insight about your unconscious and automatic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Knowledge of the nine types can also inspire greater understanding of the differences between people with different and even conflicting worldviews.

Understanding the underlying map of your habitual tendencies can form the basis of personal growth and increased compassion for others.

How can the Enneagram help me?

Learning more about your own personality type increases your emotional intelligence and development. Once you discover who you really are you can make conscious choices rather than acting on automatic pilot; you can get rid of unwanted habitual patterns of behaviour.

By knowing your Enneatype, you are able to really see yourself – to catch yourself in the act – as you move through your day, job, life, and relationships. You’ll be able to avoid reacting in negative and unresourceful ways to the things and people who trigger you.

You’ll gain a better grasp on your inner motivations and drives so you’ll not only understand yourself better but also the important people in your life and the groups you work with.

Enneagram personality typing can shine a light on:

  • your Parenting personality style
  • your Leadership style
  • how you appear to others
  • your best and worst traits
  • what happens to your behaviour when you are stressed
  • how to expand your emotional intelligence and self-mastery
